Reporting to the Emergency, Medicine and Stroke Program Director, the Clinical Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of 8ABC General Medicine, which includes oversight of patient care delivery, quality improvement initiatives, human resource management and budget administration.

The Clinical Manager will also work collaboratively with internal and external partners to improve care delivery, patient safety and patient experience within the program.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
  • Member in good standing with a college recognized under the Regulated Health Professions Act
  • Three years of healthcare leadership experience preferred
  • Experience working with medicine and/or geriatric patients preferred
  • Strong communicator and proven ability to facilitate timely resolution of patient and family issues in collaboration with the team
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to patientfocused care philosophy
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and lead effective multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work with frontline staff to identify, promote and resolve quality issues
  • Ability to implement change management processes for quality improvement and system advancement
  • Ability to implement and manage unitspecific HR functions such as employee rewards, recognition, discipline, and conducting performance reviews
  • Experience using computer software programs, e.g., MS Word, Excel and electronic mail
