GFL is responsible for the collection and processing of waste, recycling, and organic materials. We cover North America with a large number of employees.

We are looking for an energetic and motivated full-time Driver to support our growing business.

Job Description
  • Satisfy customer service needs.
  • Ensure service is completed following established policies.
  • Responsible for daily pre and post-trip inspections.
  • Complete an assigned daily route provided by the Operations Manager.
  • Drive to customer sites, lift, and empty bins into the front-end vehicle, then return the bin to its original location.
  • Transfer waste to the appropriate station, landfill, or drop-off location.
  • Conduct driver check-ins at the end of the day to ensure accurate paperwork completion.
  • Complete assigned routes in a timely and safe manner.
  • Follow all protocols while unloading loads at municipal recycling or waste facilities.
  • May need to climb a ladder on the truck to inspect loads.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Requirements
  • High school completion.
  • Post-secondary courses or diploma considered an asset.
  • 1-2 years of driving experience in the waste industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Industry knowledge is an asset.

Preferred 5 years of driving experience in a DZ vehicle. Experience with Roll Off and Front End vehicles.
