Job Title: DZ Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DZ driver to join our team at GFL Environmental. As a DZ driver, you will be responsible for operating a DZ vehicle to collect and transport waste and recyclables to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a DZ vehicle to collect and transport waste and recyclables to various locations.
  • Perform daily pre and post trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Complete an assigned daily route as directed by the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities.
  • May be required to climb up ladder on truck to inspect loads.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Requirements:

  • Completion of high school. Post-secondary courses or diploma would be considered an asset.
  • 1-2 years driving experience in the waste industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Proven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of industry an asset.

Preferred:

  • 5 years of driving experience in a DZ vehicle
  • Experience with Roll Off and Front End vehicles
