Position Summary

Performs diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures/techniques and related duties, observing safe radiation protection practices.

Duties include receiving and completing requisitions, entering relevant data into the radiology information system, preparing patients for examination, operating radiographic and computerized imaging equipment including processing radiographs and archiving of acquired data, monitoring patient during procedures, and monitoring equipment performance.

Performs administrative duties as required.

New Wage :
As of April 1, 2024, the new wage is: $ $45.81/hour

Stuart Lake Hospital is a six acute care bed facility with six additional long
-term care beds. The Hospital serves the community of Fort St James as well as the First Nation's Communities of Takla, Yekooche, Nak'azdli, and Tl'azt'en (Binche and Tachie). The hospital has 24/7 emergency, diagnostic, laboratory, palliative care and a pharmacy. It offers full and part time physicians as well as visiting specialists.

Fort St. James is located on the southeast shore of Stuart Lake. The population of the Fort St. James area is 4, including the rural areas and First Nations. Qualfications

  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiological technology program.
  • Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and eligible for membership with the BC Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (BCAMRT) and/or CAMRT.

  • Minimum of 1 year recent related experience in Radiography field
