Agronomist – Market Development (Senior)

Location: Peace River Region, Alberta

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in related agriculture industry sales and market development.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of plants, crops, soil etc.
  • Preference for working knowledge of crop modelling (horticulture crops, oil seed crops, cereals, pulses, tubers or fruits etc).
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining successful strategic relationships with key crop input suppliers, existing and prospective customers, and internal business partners.
  • Experience with associated duties, including customer meetings, organizing product trials, delivery of services, identifying new crop and business opportunities, participating in industry events acting as a domain specialist, etc.
  • Strong customer service and inter-personal relationship management skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office etc).
  • Post-secondary education in a related field of study.
  • Strong English language skills (written and verbal).
  • Eligible for membership in Provincial Institute of Agrologists.
  • CCA or PAg Designation, or eligibility preferred.

Compensation package includes salary and benefits package, including relocation assistance if required.
