Position Summary
To provide technical expertise to identify and mitigate rotating equipment related safety, reliability, maintainability, or operational problems and to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Sherritt's rotating equipment assets.

Accountabilities Adhere to reliability engineering standards (ISO5500x, ISO14224) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Foster effective communication and collaboration with key departments and plant personnel. Implement Asset Integrity-Reliability processes for reliable, cost-effective production. Promote continuous improvement, technical innovation, and lean thinking. Identify and manage threats to rotating equipment, develop solutions, and support execution. Provide recommendations for equipment performance to aid troubleshooting, preventive, and predictive maintenance. Analyze CBM data to identify damage mechanisms for inspections and repairs. Troubleshoot and resolve rotating equipment issues, conducting root cause analysis and facilitating Root Cause Failure Analysis. Lead or support health monitoring projects and optimize maintenance strategies to reduce lifecycle costs and downtime. Provide technical assurance for management and participate in rotating equipment-related outages. Perform integrity and quality assurance activities for equipment repairs. Create and update guidelines for rotating equipment installation (API-686). Conduct assessments, data collection, analysis, ITP creation, work requests, repair plan creation, and reporting. Support engineering, operations, and maintenance on rotating equipment health and remedial actions. Provide technical leadership and coach junior Rotating Equipment Specialists. Qualifications and Skills Mechanical Engineer Degree or Mechanical Engineering Diploma with Vibration Analysis certifications. Minimum of 5 years working experience with rotating equipment and reliability practices. High computer skills including Microsoft Office and CMMS and problem-solving ability.
