Job description:


General IT Infrastructure Systems Administration work focuses on installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems software and hardware for multi-user server computers and/or personal computing devices including: Meeting end user needs by ensuring the uptime, performance, resource availability, and security of the computers managed within established budgets and operational guidelines.

Acquiring, installing, and upgrading computer components and software and planning for/responding to service outages and other problems. Automating routine tasks using scripting and writing basic computer programs to address more complex systems software configuration and enhancement.

Accountabilities:

Installs, configures, maintains, and administers systems (e.g.

vulnerability patching, version currency, capacity planning, performance tuning, service level reporting, backup, recovery, security (user authentication, encryption, logging, etc.) to prevent, resolve, or escalate issues.

Acquires, installs, and upgrades computer components and software and maintains secure environments through system access controls, backups, and firewalls.

Monitors vendor performance against service level agreements (SLAs).

Designs, documents, and implements ECM solutions based on user specifications and business requirements.

Develops plans for responding to service outages and other problems.


Monitors and reviews reported errors and error logs to resolve issues with system uptime, performance, resource availability, and security within established budgets and operational guidelines.

Automates routine tasks by scripting and writing basic computer programs that address more complex systems software configurations and enhancements.

Qualifications:

Experience in systems administration in Genesys cloud and Avaya environment including CMS, site administration, Officelinx, worforce optimization.

Windows network and storage environments.

Principles, methods, and best practices for unifying communication systems.

System security (certificate renewal, service account password rotation) and data backup/recovery principles and best practices.

Incident response processes to investigate and respond to service outages and performance issues.

Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology and principles.

End-to-end project coordination and collaboration.
