Passionate Hospitality Group is looking for a Front of the House Manager to join our team at the Sherwood Park Curling Club Lounge for the 2023/2024 Curling Season.

The FOH Manager will be responsible for all front of house functions, including food service, guest service and cleanliness. In addition, the manager will manage the front of house staff and day-to-day operations.

KEY TASKS:

  • Oversee all aspects of service including interacting with guests and resolving any customer issues.
  • Oversees the production concession style foods according to standardized recipes and established food preparation procedures.
  • Work with management to develop, implement and followup on all initiatives, standards and procedures.
  • Hiring qualified employees.
  • Organizing and facilitating staff training.
  • Utilize and train employees on POS.
  • Supervising, coaching, developing and evaluating staff.
  • Scheduling based on business needs.
  • Labour cost control.
  • Menu development input.
  • Maintaining inventory levels, product ordering, ensures deliveries are verified and unsatisfactory product is refused.
  • Ensures cleanliness of lounge areas.
  • Ensure compliance and documentation of all required certifications (First Aid, Food Safe, ProServe etc.) for all employees.
  • Ensure operations are in compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Observes, demonstrates and promotes safe work practices and procedures and that all incidents are reported.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in food service or management preferred.
  • Must have a positive attitude and great customer service skills.
  • Ability to forecast supplies as needed.
  • Ability to budget.
  • Familiar with POS operations and scheduling software.
  • Leadership abilities and ability to manage a team of people and prioritize work.
  • Punctual, reliable and dependable.
  • Organized.
  • Exceptional decision making skills.
  • Enthusiastic.
  • Able to take initiative and work unsupervised.
  • Team oriented.
  • Able to multitask.
  • Communicates effectively.
  • Friendly.

  • Ability to work some extended hours (early/late shifts as required, etc.).
  • Must be in good health and physical condition to perform the duties assigned.
  • Must comply with the company drug & alcohol and criminal background screening policies and procedures.
  • Must have current ProServe certification.
  • Food Safe certification is an asset.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Constant standing/walking.
  • Forward stooping postures for 3035 minutes at a given time.
  • Occasional squatting, kneeling, bending.
  • Constant hand usage.
  • Able to lift up to 22.5kg (50lbs) occasionally and up to 8.9 kg (20lbs) frequently.

SCHEDULE:

  • Evening and Weekend availability
