General Position Summary:_

Forming metal sheets in a variety of shapes and angles using various brakes and die combinations. Activities include analyzing sketches and blueprints, adjusting machine settings, making sure equipment is in good condition.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:_

  • Experience in Brake Press Operations.
  • Experience as a Fabricator.
  • Experience with Accurpress ETS 3000 Software is an asset.
  • Must be able to read and understand a tape measure to 1/16th or 1 mm.
  • Mechanically inclined, with knowledge and experience of equipment, tool selection, optimum settings, routine maintenance, and ability to troubleshoot.
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints and program basic equipment.
  • Must be able to operate machines efficiently, and provide continuous quality checks.
  • Work with scheduling to ascertain the work flow and job prioritization while maintaining attention to detail that ensures high level of quality. Ensure productivity and on time completion.
  • Material handling, manipulating tools and cranes to move large pieces of metal.
  • Communication verbally with other members of the team and be able to process information.
  • Function as a team member; interact and work well with other.
  • Additional tasks as required.

  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and recognizing the need for help

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strive for zero downtime operations
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as Brake Press Operator
  • Strong grasp of math; trigonometry
  • Experience on CNC Break or comparable
