The HR and Recruitment Assistant will provide support to the Human Resources, Recruitment and Payroll department.

The individual will be responsible for assisting in all Human Resources and Health and Safety related activities, assisting with recruitment activities, and ensuring the accuracy of payroll timesheets and reports.


Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources

  • Assist in maintaining accurate employee related filing and records.
  • Assist with development and implementation of policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, adjustments, and termination of coverage.
  • Draft forms, letters, reports, and memos as required.
  • Respond to employee's inquiries about various company policies, procedures, programs etc.
  • Assist with planning and organization of employee engagement activities.
  • Assist with the creation of discipline documents.
  • Assist with the administration of training programs

Recruitment

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including maintaining internal and external job postings, screening resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, and creating offer letters
  • Assist with employee orientation and onboarding process.

Payroll

  • Ensure accuracy of timesheets, payroll data input, and payroll reports.

Health & Safety

  • Assist with Health and Safety program, including minutes for JHSC meetings, injury tracking, WSIB paperwork.

Other

  • Provide administrative support to the human resources, recruitment, and payroll department.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous Human Resources experience an asset
  • Diploma/Certificate in Human Resource Management
  • Health and Safety Experience, working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Previous manufacturing experience an asset
  • Familiarity with social network websites
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Shifts

  • Fulltime, 40 hours per week
  • Day shift, Monday-Friday
