Bilingual Team Manager – Community Support Services

JOB DESCRIPTION:

SCOPE OF POSITION

The Team Manager of Community Support Services (CSS) program is responsible for coordinating and implementing programs that support older adults and adults with disabilities, ensuring continuous development, service delivery, and evaluation within the framework of the WOCRC philosophy and strategic direction. CSS programs are delivered in various locations across the western end of Ottawa, where the Team Manager provides supervision. As a member of the management team, the Team Manager oversees all aspects of staff management and administration for the CSS teams. Collaboration with other WOCRC Team Managers is essential to integrate services using a cross-functional approach to enhance care coordination for clients throughout the Centre. Additionally, collaboration with external groups/agencies is required to ensure effective and comprehensive service delivery while representing WOCRC in various groups and coalitions addressing health determinants.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently in remote locations
  • Conflict management and resolution expertise
  • Ability to develop and implement programs through a collaborative interdisciplinary approach
  • Experience working in multicultural, multidisciplinary team settings
  • Commitment to community-based intervention models
  • Knowledge of social services delivery in Ottawa
  • Effective organizational skills due to the mobile nature of the position

Education and Experience:

  • Masters or Undergraduate degree in Social Work, Health Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of management experience leading a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience with older adults and individuals with disabilities
  • Understanding of community-based health service models
  • Familiarity with the Home and Community Care Act
  • Knowledge of health and social services delivery in Ottawa and the broader region
  • General management principles, including financial and human resource management
  • Program development and evaluation background
  • Excellent planning, decision-making, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to address diverse community needs
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Proven conflict resolution abilities
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Adaptability in dynamic environments with short deadlines

Language:

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory
  • Proficiency in French (spoken and written) at advanced levels
  • Additional languages representative of the community served are advantageous

Other:

  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage
  • Frequent travel to multiple service locations is expected

SALARY RANGE:

  • Starting Salary: $68,741.13
DESCRIPTION DU POSTE

SSC programs are available in numerous Ottawa locales, overseen by the team manager. This individual plays a crucial role in personnel management and administration for the SSC teams, working collaboratively with other WOCRC leaders to enhance care coordination for clients.
