The Opportunity


We are looking for a Mechanical Field Specialist to join our small group of mechanical service professionals to build on our growing and dedicated team.

The Mechanical Services Specialist will rely on an extensive engineering knowledge to assess large electric motors on and off site as well as rotating equipment such as fan, gear boxes, generators, and turbines.


The Role

  • Assess and troubleshoot large electric motors and rotating equipment including, fans, gear boxes, generators and turbine
  • Acquire vibration data and perform field balancing
  • Troubleshoot rotating and static machinery issues through data analysis.
  • Supervise the removal and installation of large rotating equipment when required
  • Compile data and draft technical reports for customers while complying with professional and quality standards
  • Interact with our customers to solve equipment issues and provide assistance when required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a service capacity with rotating equipment
  • Graduate Engineer (mechanical or electrical), or Journeyman tradesperson E.M.S.T
  • C.E.T or E.I.T
  • Experience in data acquisition, vibration analysis and field balancing preferred. CAT II or above an asset.
  • Strong time management skills including, experience successfully managing many small projects at one time
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and oral) and computer skills
  • Ability to problem solve on site and under time constraints
  • Ability to work on customers site with limited supervision.
