JOB DESCRIPTION


Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Junior Quality Technician will ensure all products meet consistent, high-quality standards by inspecting and monitoring products at various production stages, and preparing all related documentation.

This is a full time temporary summer student opportunity for a postsecondary student from May to August 2024. _

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Perform receiving, inprocess and final inspections, witness manufacturing tests to ensure products adhere to company quality standards
  • Collect production data, record product nonconformances
  • Review supplier documentation, MTRs, inspection reports, Certificates of Conformance
  • Prepare final product documentation, including calibration certificates, Certificates of Conformance, customer specific MRBs
  • Monitor measuring equipment performance
  • Maintain calibration program
  • Assist in the development of company procedures and work instructions
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines

WHAT DO I NEED TO SUCCEED?

  • Postsecondary education in progress in machining or industrial sciences.
  • Experience with production, manufacturing or related experience in an ISO 9001 environment is considered an asset.
  • Experience with measuring machined parts is an asset.
  • Familiarity with NDE inspections would be an asset.
  • Experience with measuring equipment calibration would be an asset.
  • Analysis, criticalthinking and problemsolving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with aptitude to learn new systems.
