Who We're Looking For:

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Design Coordinator, your responsibilities would include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Work closely with Operations Manager to align design coordination efforts with operational objectives, contributing to the overall success of project delivery activities.
  • Schedule and prepare technical documents, including hydrant flow test reports and other projectspecific documentation, to support design processes and project requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule site surveys and field reviews with Field Technicians, ensuring thorough data collection and accurate documentation to inform the design process.
  • Manage the gathering, organization, and filing of project documents from clients in accordance with NSD's Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining compliance and integrity of project records.
  • Ensure strict adherence to established protocols, procedures, and quality standards to uphold consistency and reliability in design coordination practices.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the VP of Administration.

What You'll Need In Your Toolkit:

  • 3+ years experience in scheduling.
  • Experience as an office admin.
  • Selfmotivated with a great work ethic.
  • Contribute to a positive work culture by displaying company values.
  • Detail oriented with great organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate, in writing and verbally, with all project stakeholders; and
  • Ability to prioritize, meet project deadlines and problem solve efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong experience with Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Ability to read codes, technical specifications and building construction drawings including fire protection, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical is a strong asset.
  • Experience in the fire protection construction industry is an asset.
