THE POSITION:


We are currently seeking an experienced individual to oversee a dual role within our Company as an Accounting Administrative Clerk/Client Service Representative.

We are looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills, has the ability to work effectively in a team environment and can provide an excellent standard of service.

This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. with a rotational Saturday schedule (7:00 am - 12:00 pm).

Experience in the transportation/waste and recycling industry is an asset, but not required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Accounting Administrative Clerk

  • Accept online and direct customer payments (EFT, cheques, cash, etc.)
  • Assist with as required scanning of received cheques (RBC scanner)
  • Reconciliation of Transfer Station float and general petty cash
  • Bank deposit activity when required
  • Assist with petty cash activity
  • Address vendor queries
  • Oversee courier shipping arrangements and internal office supply ordering
  • Vendor and customer file management
  • Assist with mailing of monthly customer invoices
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounting Department

Client Service Representative

  • Intake of customer orders, accurate input of orders, assist dispatch with coordination of bin deliveries, etc.
  • Interact with customers in a courteous, friendly and professional manner
  • Respond to client service requests in an effective and timely manner
  • Manage timesensitive tasks and deadlines

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated bookkeeping/accounting background
  • Minimum of 5 years client service experience
  • Sage 50 Experience (an asset)
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the position
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a time sensitive setting
  • Detail orientated and high level of accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
