Property Administrator - Toronto

Reporting to the Property Manager, the Property Administrator is responsible for administration, including A/R and A/P processing and embraces the role of tenant liaison.

What you will do:
_**Administration

  • Completes credit checks and other reference checks
  • Prepares New Tenancy agreements and Adjustment Notices
  • Processes tenant charges
  • Manages parking/locker logs
  • Administers Toronto Building Registration requirements
  • Trains and monitors building staff in administrative procedures and processes
  • Updates rental and market reports
  • Performs electronic and manual records management and other related office duties
  • Performs other duties as required to assist the team including coverage of work when other staff members are absent
Accounts Receivable

  • Process daily accounts receivable deposits
  • Reconcile accounts and process adjustments as required
  • Tenant document control and tenant liaison and communication
  • Resolve general accounts receivable inquiries
  • Prepare Landlord and Tenant legal notices
  • Prepare files for legal action
  • Perform daily filing, electronic and manual records management, and other related administrative office duties
  • Perform other duties as required to assist the team including coverage of work when other staff are absent
Accounts Payable

  • Process Purchase Orders/Work Orders in a timely manner
  • Prepare resident correspondence and invoices
  • Handle internal and external enquiries relating to Accounts Payable
  • Daytoday management of accounts payable issues and supplier invoices

Who you are:
_**- Proficient in accounting and financial management (A/R & A/P)

  • Experience in the residential property management industry is considered a strong asset
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a team
  • Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA), Ontario Human Rights Code and Privacy legislation is an asset
