Your role

Responsibilities:

  • Financial management of projects, which includes but is not limited to project setup, maintenance, invoicing, and project closure
  • Build strong relationships with and serve as a trusted advisor to our internal business partners including Principals and Project Managers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with our consulting partners, as well as the Accounting Reviewer, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, to ensure collaborative teamwork.
  • Independently organize and prioritize workload to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Escalate concerns/issues to the Regional Operations Manager as required.
  • Ability to identify process/control weaknesses and work independently to find resolutions. Maintain company accounting procedures and processes and ensure compliance of all internal processes and systems.
  • Develop spreadsheets to communicate financial results to client and/or Project Team.
  • Project accounting report generation, and analysis.
  • Identify and resolve inconsistencies and issues with project managers.

Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Project accounting experience preferred with proven accuracy.
  • Developed analytical, decision making and problemsolving skills.
  • General accounting knowledge obtained through experience and/or education.
  • Ability to identify potential implications of actions to mitigate downstream financial impacts.
  • Ability to independently review contracts and understand the contract terms regarding project type, scope of work, and invoicing terms.
  • Must be organized, willing to embrace change and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to build and foster excellent working relationships.
