DMARehability is currently seeking Part-Time / Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist for the London and surrounding area.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient oriented support to individuals who have sustained acquired brain injuries while working within a team environment.
  • Conduct initial assessment including cognitive communication, reading comprehension, speech, swallowing, and voice.
  • Development of treatment plans under Ontario's Statutory Accident Benefit automobile regime.
  • Development and implementation of communitybased intervention programs
Development of return to work strategies and plans.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology
  • Registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
Eligibility for membership with CASLPA or OSLA

  • Thorough knowledge of the consequences of an acquired brain injury, its impact on family and the counseling and educational needs of family members
  • Background and experience in effecting educational, vocational and community reintegration
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and teaching skills
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
