We are seeking a Senior BIM Designer to join our growing civil infrastructure division at Arup. In this role, you'll work closely with design engineers across disciplines, bringing your expertise to our interdisciplinary projects. If you're enthusiastic about pushing design and engineering boundaries to create meaningful solutions for the built environment, we welcome you to join us on our journey to shape a brighter future.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with civil engineers and team members to develop BIM models for civil engineering projects.
  • Guide and mentor junior BIM designers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Manage project data environments for effective organization and accessibility.
  • Create complex civil infrastructure models, including roads, drainage systems, and utilities.
  • Produce detailed civil engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Interpret sketches and markups, translating them into accurate BIM models.
  • Review work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
  • Prepare project deliverables using Autodesk software and model elements.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in BIM modeling and civil engineering design.
  • Display leadership qualities or a strong inclination to develop such skills.
  • Proficient in Autodesk software including Construction Cloud, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation and NavisWorks is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven track record of team-based work with strong planning abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and tackle challenges head-on.
  • Proactive, motivated, and committed to continuous learning.
