Position Summary
As a Pharmacy Porter, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.
Hours of Work:
Permanent part-time, 25 hours per week: 11:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday
Internal applications for this position within our UFCW bargaining unit must be received within 7 days of this position being posted to have seniority considered.
- Lifting, loading and transporting unit dose carts or unit dose cassettes from Pharmacy to all nursing units
- Sanitizing patient cassettes/carts for infection control
- Delivering and/or picking up medications for all patient care units either as scheduled or unscheduled
- Scanning, photocopying and shredding documents
- Assisting others within the Pharmacy Department, e.g. answering telephone calls
- Completion of secondary school
- Hospital pharmacy experience is an asset
- Evidence of good work and attendance record
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge and commitment to working within Homewood's Health & Safety Standards
