Job Summary:

Duties:

  • Codes documents such as invoices and receipts to appropriate accounts
  • Maintains and updates accounting records by performing duties such as recording and posting transactions, accounts payable/ receivable
  • Prepare and process invoices, bills and payments
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Process payroll and ensure timely payment to employees
  • Prepare financial reports for management review
  • Assist the finance manager with yearend audits and tax preparations, produces financial statements, budgets and and other financial reports
  • Compiles, maintains and produces statistics and reports of such records as seniority lists, vacation entitlement and sick leave
  • Submits forms to health an welfare benefit carriers to arrange for, change and terminate coverage for employees

Requirements:

  • At least two years experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
  • Strong understanding of account analysis and reconciliation processes
  • Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Payroll experience would be an asset
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Job Type:
Part-time

Pay:
$30.00-$35.00 per hour
