Job Summary:
Duties:
- Codes documents such as invoices and receipts to appropriate accounts
- Maintains and updates accounting records by performing duties such as recording and posting transactions, accounts payable/ receivable
- Prepare and process invoices, bills and payments
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Process payroll and ensure timely payment to employees
- Prepare financial reports for management review
- Assist the finance manager with yearend audits and tax preparations, produces financial statements, budgets and and other financial reports
- Compiles, maintains and produces statistics and reports of such records as seniority lists, vacation entitlement and sick leave
- Submits forms to health an welfare benefit carriers to arrange for, change and terminate coverage for employees
Requirements:
- At least two years experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
- Strong understanding of account analysis and reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Payroll experience would be an asset
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
