The role primarily focuses on the forecasting, budgeting, and planning on a quarterly basis and will operate as a key finance business partner to the BC region.

100% Management ReportingTHE TASKSManagement ReportingMay include, but not be limited to, the following tasks:

Gathering data and information from various sources, such as financial systems, operational databases, and key performance indicators (KPIs)Analyzing and synthesizing data to generate meaningful insights and trendsDeveloping reports, dashboards, and scorecards to present the information in a clear and concise mannerIdentifying and tracking key performance metrics and indicators to measure progress towards organizational goalsPreparing and presenting regular management reports that highlight financial performance, operational results, and key areas of focusCollaborating with stakeholders to understand their information needs and customize reports accordinglyConducting variance analysis to identify deviations from expected targets and investigate underlying causesProviding recommendations and insights based on data analysis to support decision-making and strategic planningEnsuring the accuracy and integrity of the reported data by implementing proper data validation and quality control processes.

THE EXPECTATIONS TIMELINE PREVIEWBy Month 1Begin familiarization with the FP&A function specifically for the BC region, understanding the current processes, systems, and key stakeholders.

Developed a basic level understanding of past annual plans in preparation for planning to occur in September.
Start engagement with the BC management team, initiating regular communication and partnership.
Commence the process of mastering dashboard utilization for reporting and analysis.

By Month 3Establish a working partnership and framework to analyze and communicate strategies and business unit results on a monthly basis.

Begin contribution towards process efficiency initiatives, suggesting improvements based on initial analysis and observation.

Start involvement in the year-end call for the prior year and planning for the original plan for the upcoming year.
