Opportunity Overview
The Associate Director, Capital Markets ESG Finance Advisory plays a crucial role in the CM Performance Management team, serving as the primary Finance advisor for Capital Markets Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Finance. The role involves managing reporting, planning, and analysis to support business leaders in embedding ESG practices across CM lines of business and collaborating with various groups to ensure ESG is integrated into Finance activities.
This position is ideal for individuals interested in ESG, adept at performance measurement and reporting, and skilled in business relationship management.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead Finance support for Strategy, Marketing, Sustainability, and ESG Credit Group
- Provide impactful reporting and analytics for CM ESG Finance
- Manage strategic ESG projects in collaboration with Strategy teams
- Offer analysis and recommendations on business opportunities to senior management
- Conduct global benchmarking of ESG strategies
- Collaborate with various departments to develop KPIs and targets aligned with ESG standards
- Maintain financial estimates and plans embedded with ESG strategies
- Promote continuous learning on ESG topics and market trends
Skills for Success
- CPA, CFA, or Finance MBA qualification
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience in project management and driving change
- Sharp analytical skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Proactive, innovative, and adaptable mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of bank structures, risk management concepts, and capital markets
- Experience with third-party data vendors and analytics tools
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and standard setting
