This role allows you to showcase your enthusiasm for bringing concepts to life and engaging in meaningful conversations that promote self-determination and societal transformation in Indigenous communities. As a Curriculum Developer, you will utilize your innate talent for creating, reviewing, and potentially delivering curriculum.

Who are we?

Indigenous Perspectives Society is a provincial non-profit organization that amplifies the voices of Indigenous communities through culturally relevant education, professional growth, research, and policy. A distinguishing feature of our organization is our dedication to providing culturally appropriate services. For three decades, our programs have fostered a deeper comprehension of Indigenous viewpoints and cultural diversities, cultivating strong partnerships with Indigenous communities, allied organizations, and government entities.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline
  • Proven work background and a strong interest in transitioning into a curriculum development role
  • Progressive experience in First Nations communities
  • Proficient research and analytical skills utilizing various techniques such as databases, the internet, survey tools, and academic resources
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop curriculum and educational resources
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms like Moodle
  • Preference for candidates with experience in an Indigenous Child and Family Service Agency, though not mandatory
  • Indigenous heritage will be given preference.

What we offer:

Annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $85,000 based on prior experience and relevant expertise

Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at our Langford office. Potential for Part-Time role
