What is the opportunity?

Chief of Staff Office – AML/ KYC Manager


Assist RBC BlueBay in its efforts to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing and other illicit financial activities by managing the first line AML KYC process with regards to Clients, Distributors, Platforms and any other relevant Third Parties.

What will you do?

  • Client Due Diligence including establishing Client's control structure, ownership structure, country of operation, Identity and document verification etc.
  • Using databases and tools, external and internal, and conducting research.
  • Sourcing information and accurately recording/ retaining in line with Enterprise and Regulatory requirements.
  • Prompt escalation of any highrisk categorizations, as well as any errors or anomalies.
  • Working efficiently with the Onboarding and Transition Management Team.
  • Annual reviews and periodic refreshes.
  • Drafting and reviewing 1st Line AML/ KYC Policies and Procedures.
  • Periodic reporting.
  • Work closely with all key internal stakeholders: Head of Business Risk and Governance, Chief of Staff, Head of Client Experience, Head of Client Lifecycle Management, AML Compliance Advisory, Luxembourg Management Company as well as coordinate infrastructure teams where applicable e.g., Legal, Operations, IT etc.
What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • AML/ KYC Onboarding Experience
  • Relevant degree, postgraduate course or recognized Compliance/ AML certification
  • Working knowledge and understanding of current AML regulations and applicable regulatory guidance in the UK.
  • Strong organisation skills, with experience in managing multiple deliverables at any one time
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Skills to adapt style of communication for the current audience to successfully articulate issues clearly and logically.
  • Establishes and maintains good relationships and works effectively and cooperatively with others. Communicates constructively, engages others positively and readily shares information and ideas
  • Capacity to grasp new concepts/information quickly and adapt to changing work situations, as well as and a positive 'can do' attitude.
Nice-to-have

  • Experience working in the investment industry. Good working knowledge of equities and fixed income
  • Knowledge of European AML KYC Regulations and experience in implementing the requirements.
  • Experience in change environment and adapting / strategizing for best outcomes.
