Shield Fence & Wire Products is one of Canada's leading fence manufacturing companies. Our sister division, Iron Eagle Industries, manufactures and distributes Ornamental Iron Fencing across the Nation. We are looking for a Draftsperson with strong AutoCAD / SolidWorks experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and prepare shop drawings, preliminary concepts, layouts and assemblies.
  • Ensure compliance with design standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, Architects, sales department and production team.
  • Develop and prepare technical data sheets and specification sheets.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary Diploma or Degree in Design, or Engineering.
  • Drafting background and a strong proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and 3D Modelling in SolidWorks.
  • Able to identify and report design related issues.
  • Ability to read blue prints, site surveys and designs.
  • Excellent written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skill.
  • Strong organizational and file management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office [Word, Excel & PowerPoint] is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience in SolidWorks Simulation is an asset.
Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience

$22.00-$25.00 per hour
