Examinations Administrator to join our team in Burnaby


The Examinations Administrator is responsible for administrating the Registration Department's Examination Programs and providing staff support to their associated committees.

Responsibilities include handling the logistics of examination sessions (online and in-person), proctoring, and examination security, as well as providing a high level of support to examination takers and applicants.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Administers online examination programs. Handles logistics of examination sessions, proctoring, and examination security.
  • Plans, schedules, and operates examination sessions; provides training, advice, and guidance to Examinations team and other staff for academic exams and escalates issues to management as necessary.
  • Gathers, maintains, analyzes, audits, and reports on examinationsrelated data. Evaluates data against KPIs and tracks program performance. Conducts research into examinations best practices and provides recommendations for process and program improvements.
  • Provides input on all examinationrelated policy changes, development, and implementation. Applies a policy lens to our Examinations Programs to ensure administrative fairness and equity.
  • Develops business improvement proposals related to the Examinations Programs, which may include the introduction of new programs, and takes the lead on process change implementation. Collaborates with the IS team to develop business requirements/proposals for IT interface improvements.
  • Addresses exam administration issues and drafts responses to various stakeholder groups based on policies and procedures; participates in the invigilation of examination sessions on an asneeded basis.
  • Ensures examination procedures follow and continue to follow compliance with regulations and standards (FIPPA and privacy standards).
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Additional training in online examinations, exam integrity, and/or data analysis is an asset.
  • 57 years of relevant previous experience in exam administration.
  • 2+ years experience with data management, data analysis, and research.
  • Understanding of and knowledge in privacy law, FIPPA requirements, and best practices in document management/data governance.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills including clear and succinct writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and goal orientation; ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
