Manulife's Global Data Governance team is growing and expanding its mandate.

We are looking for an experienced professional to help shape the growing function and drive adoption of our data governance and data quality framework, standard methodologies and supporting technologies across the enterprise.

Support the deployment of data governance agenda globally to accelerate trust and utilization of data
Collaborate to continuously refine global data quality framework ; drive adoption of the framework by developing playbooks, accelerators and training the appropriate partners in data quality concepts
Support leaders in data governance roles across the organization to improve their data literacy and familiarity with the data governance and data quality practices
Engage with partners at various levels of the organization to guide them in identification of critical data elements and setting-up metrics linking data quality to business value
Conduct hands on data analysis to address high-priority data quality issues from issue identification through root cause analysis to issue resolution
Implement global data governance metrics and oversight mechanisms to ensure delivery of target outcomes through the Data Governance program
In partnership with Technology teams, support adoption of the data quality technology in the Azure Cloud environment as well as for on-prem applications
Serve as a liaison between the Global Data Governance team and our Segment Data offices, Data Owners and Control Partners (Information Risk Management, Compliance, Privacy, Legal) to ensure that data quality requirements are defined, captured, and communicated
Apply creative thinking and contribute to innovation in the data governance practices at Manulife; monitor new and existing data governance technologies and bring meaningful advancements to the leaders' attention

You will work with our technology and business partners to unlock the value of data through improved accuracy and trust.

This will help Manulife achieve its strategic ambition of becoming a digital customer leader. It will also enable efficiency and speed in generating insights with data.

5+ years of data governance and data management related experience in a large multinational organization
~ A college/university degree in computer science, engineering or another technology or quantitative field
~ Mastery of data governance concepts and technologies. Hands-on experience using one or more leading data quality software and data visualization products at scale
Familiarity with foundational data architecture concepts and Cloud technology is a plus
Practical experience with data wrangling, analytics, dashboard design. Flexible work policies and strong work-life balance

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
