PROFILE
This position requires in-office attendance five days a week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Alleviate administrative tasks specific to professional departures, file transfers, and new professional hires from the General Manager;
- Working closely with legal administrative assistants and records management team to ensure all aspects of closing practices and transferring matters is executed in a timely manner;
- Coordinate directly with professionals, clients and legal administrative assistants on an ongoing basis;
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Legal Administrative Assistant Diploma from a recognized postsecondary institution;
- A minimum of three to five years of legal administrative experience is required;
- Ability to handle a heavy and varied workload;
- Ability to lift a maximum of 25 lbs, and assist with movement of materials throughout the Firm on an ongoing basis;
- Exceptional organizational skills;
- Advanced computer skills with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
- Excellent client service skills, and professionalism;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to set priorities while dealing with conflicting and emerging priorities;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with other staff and professionals.
