AltaGas – Senior Analyst, Fundamentals

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Fundamentals, the Analyst, Fundamentals supports internal stakeholders to maintain and proactively improve the analysis and communication of fundamentals. This position is responsible for completing analytical work to support the strategic growth and innovation.

You will:

Assist in providing guidance for crude oil, natural gas liquids and natural gasMonitor global and North American crude oil markets, natural gas liquids and natural gas.Work collaboratively with other groups to provide critical & timely fundamental and quantitative analysis that will impact existing business and drive optimal solutions actions.Actively participate in stakeholder meetings and stay up to date with assigned market changes in terms of developments and policy changesProcess market intelligence and fundamentals to support and recommend hedging strategies. Develop market analysis tools to aid this short term strategic decision making and tactical trading opportunities.Maintain/enhance fundamental supply forecast for WCSBReport daily market and price summary and Distribute daily price fileMaintain/enhance fundamental models used for short term and long term forecastingDisseminate ad hoc commodity reports and trading reconciliation as neededWork with senior management to produce presentations for board meetings, earnings calls, investor day presentations, or other events as required.Provide guidance and recommendations to Senior Management with respect to issues affecting Altagas business.

You have:

Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Engineering3 - 5 Years Fundamentals experience with a focus on NGL, Condensate, Crude Oil and LPG markets preferredKnowledgeable of market fundamentals and ability to contribute significantly to the development of strategies. preferredModeling experience would be considered an asset. preferredStrong verbal communication and listening skills Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills.High degree of initiative High degree of personal initiative and ability to prepare detailed analysis while ensuring that finding contribute to shareholder value.Ability to apply accurate logic, sound judgement and discipline in making decisions and providing recommendations.
