HARRY BALFOUR SCHOOL is seeking candidates who enjoy working in a student-focused and collaborative environment. Educational Assistants work under the supervision of a certificated teacher.

We invite applications for a Temporary Full-Time Educational Assistant Hours/Week) for the school year. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children in a Junior Kindergarten setting (age 4). This position may also include supporting students in grade 4-6 classroom setting .

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Educational Assistant Diploma is preferred

CPR/First Aid would be considered an asset

Experience working with children in a classroom/organized setting is preferred

You have the ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care.

You have the ability to meet outside of school hours.

You have the ability to work as part of a team.

Terms and conditions of employment are outlined in Policy GGG: Personnel Policy for Non-Teaching Staff. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $19.48/hour to $25.64 hour.
