We are looking for a highly skilled Manager-Early Learning and Child Care to work with schools and outside agencies to lead and support early learning initiatives and programs in the VSB.

Reporting to the District Principal of Early Learning and Child Care, the Manager will supervise multiple Strong Start Centres, support students and families with successful transitions to kindergarten, and collaborate with community partners to establish robust early learning opportunities for Vancouver communities.

They will also work with Child Care providers in the VSB to support quality experiences for students and families in existing child care spaces and support the creation of new spaces.


Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline: Education, Social Services, Early Learning

Minimum 5 (five) years extensive knowledge and experience in Early Learning and Child Care

ECE Diploma preferred

Knowledge of, and ability to support the implementation of the Ministry of Education and Child Care's Early Learning Framework in Strong Start Centres and schools

Knowledge of licensing, Child Care funding, policies, and reporting requirements

Experience supervising unionized staff and budgets

Strong organization, communication, and presentation skills

Ability to work collaboratively

Proven skills in conflict resolution

MyEducation BC experience is an asset
