Looking for an exciting career with one of Manitoba's Top Employers? Red River Co-op has an ongoing hiring need for entry level positions in various departments at our Selkirk food store (335 Main Street in Selkirk, MB)

Positions include:

Grocery Clerks

  • Maintain sections of merchandise (nonperishable food, dairy, frozen food, general merchandise, health and beauty, bulk food) as assigned in an effective manner. Ensure firstin, firstout rotation is followed at all times, and that closedated product is reported to the Grocery Manager.
  • Ensure the Grocery Department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
  • Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperaturecontrolled environment.
  • Present a neat, clean, fresh, wellmerchandised department and related work areas (sales floor, end caps, coolers, freezers, receiving area, warehouse, etc.).

Cashiers

  • Operate a cash register, take payment from customers and provide change.
  • Deliver fast and friendly service to members and customers.
  • Educate customers on the benefits of membership in Red River Coop and encourage them to join.

Deli Clerks

  • Maintain sections of merchandise (luncheon meat, cheese, home meal replacement, hot food, bulk product, packaged product) as assigned in an effective manner. Ensure firstin, firstout rotation is followed at all times, and that closedated product is reported to the Deli Manager.
  • Ensure the Deli Department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
  • Prepare fresh value added product and home meal replacement items as per established Coop recipes and procedures. Ensure consistency in ingredients used and preparation method at all times.
  • Present a neat, clean, fresh, wellmerchandised department and related work areas (sales floor, coolers, freezers, prep area, etc.)
All positions involve a high degree of customer contact. Successful applicants must be friendly and polite, and service-oriented.
