As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Quality Coordinator to uphold and enhance our commitment to superior quality control.


Position Overview:

The Quality Coordinator will hold a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the overall quality of our truck bodies.

Reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing, the coordinator will be responsible for overseeing quality control processes, conducting inspections, and implementing quality assurance measures to ensure that our products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.

This position requires a keen attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive quality control program, ensuring strict adherence to established standards and specifications.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to identify any defects or deviations from quality standards.
  • Create and document quality control procedures, work instructions, and inspection checklists to guide production teams in implementing quality processes effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and design teams to address qualityrelated issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics such as defect rates, customer complaints, and product performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Perform root cause analysis and initiate corrective and preventive actions to address quality concerns promptly.
  • Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with quality management systems, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, initiating and supporting quality enhancement initiatives, and providing training to employees on quality control techniques and best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and customers, promptly addressing qualityrelated inquiries, conducting customer satisfaction surveys, and handling customer complaints.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports, nonconformance reports, and quality records.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality management, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications or coursework in quality control/assurance are advantageous.
  • Experience: A minimum of 23 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment is required. Previous experience in the automotive or truck body industry is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools such as statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and 5 Whys. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is beneficial.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to identify defects and nonconformities with precision and accuracy, maintaining uncompromising standards of quality throughout the production process.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with crossfunctional teams, customers, and suppliers. Proficiency in technical report writing is desirable.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problemsolving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop appropriate corrective actions.
  • Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships and driving quality improvements across departments.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in using quality management software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and data analysis tools.
