Manager, Quality Assurance
It involves frequent travel to various Flair Airlines locations, and occasional work during evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required based on operational needs.
The Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the implementation and maintenance of quality standards and procedures within the airline's operations.
They lead a team of dedicated auditors and are responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing the quality of services provided, with a keen focus on safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
The Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for the following:Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Lead and manage a team of quality assurance auditors, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development.
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and evaluations of operational processes, facilities, and equipment to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including flight operations, maintenance, safety, and training, to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze data and performance metrics to assess quality trends, identify root causes of deficiencies, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance overall quality performance.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities and participate in audits and inspections to demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations and standards.Facilitate training and education programs for employees to promote awareness of quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Serve as a subject matter expert on quality assurance matters, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders and representing the organization in industry forums and working groups.
Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.Additional certifications in Quality Management Systems (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, ISO 9001) and aviation regulatory compliance are assets.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably within the aviation industry.
Proven experience in leading teams and implementing quality management systems and processes.
Excellent knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) and safety management systems (SMS).
Knows the provisions of CARS and IOSA.
Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
Delivering results with impact by setting clear goals, prioritizing tasks effectively, and continuously striving for improvement in performance and outcomes.
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening test.Ability to maintain a valid Passport for work travel.
