We are looking for a Data Science Intern for 1 year, with the opportunity of a full time position after completion.

You'll will work closely with the Engineering Team at Workstream to help build future products for deskless workers and employers.


Day in the Life:

  • Be the champion for a datadriven culture.
  • Mine data, develop datadriven insights, and contribute to our product and business strategies through a deep understanding of the data, our customers, and our business.
  • Collaborate with PM, marketing, and other functional teams to define and implement metrics that map product performance to business impacts.
  • Participate in endtoend business intelligence and ML projects from requirement scoping to rolling out clean, wellproduced dashboards that will inform business decisions.
  • Design and analyze experiments to measure the impact of new product features and drive decisionmaking.
  • Adopt industry best practices and tools to work efficiently at scale.

Who You Are:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with experience in analytics or data science role
  • Proficient with tools to extract and model data. Proficient with Python and able to write big data pipelines for ETL and modeling (Spark/Airflow/etc).
  • Proficient with dashboarding/data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Amplitude, Looker, and/or similar).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficient with experimental design and analysis (e.g., A/B and marketlevel experiments) and causal inference.
  • Able to understand how our business operates and how it sustains growth now and in the future. Able to translate the company's strategy into success factors/metrics and use data to guide business/product decisions.
  • Strong storytelling to distill interesting and useful insights into a compelling, concise data story. Passionate selfstarter. Willing to continue challenging yourself and work on multiple layers across the AI Hierarchy of Needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A solid understanding of SaaS metrics such as churn, net revenue retention, annual recurring revenue, etc.
  • Experience working in a highgrowth, startup environment.
  • Experience with any of the following languages/tools/systems: Python, SQL, Tableau, Snowflake, Salesforce, DBT, Git, Hubspot.
