Painter/ Shop Helper

Kaltech MFG Ltd. is looking for an Industrial Painter/ Shop helper.

If you have had any form of experience with an Industrial Painting position
- let us know For the right person, we will train this position.

Duties include:

  • Helping with day to day shipping and warehouse work

Ie:
clean up, inventory, deburring etc

  • Tend or operate equipment to spray or coat
  • Select appropriate paint or paint mixes
  • Prepare and mix solutions according to formulas or specifications
  • Clean and maintain equipment
  • Check proper thickness of plating using micrometers, callipers or other devices
  • Prep'ing items for shipping and loading trucks
  • Moving material to and from different work stations
  • Helping with various other shop tasks as required (deburring, etc...)
Fork lift experience is a must (re-certification can be obtained with Kaltech)

A self starter who is able to work unsupervised and efficiently. This person is a hard worker, yet safety is always on their mind.

Kaltech is a "team like" atmosphere, where all members work cooperatively to service our customers.

Successful applicant needs to be reliable and long term. Not a typical warehouse/ receiving job as that is only a portion of what this job entails.

Specific Skills
Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products, Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions, Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators or other metal workers, Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools, Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment, Clean machines and immediate work areas, Polish metal products to mirror finish, Load and unload vehicle, Read and interpret work orders
