What you will do:

  • Proactive cold calling and independent lead generation to acquire new merchants
  • 90% self generated leads 10% inbound leads
  • Maintain the prospective leads through excellent customer service relations; negotiate and win new business
  • Generate your own leads and tailor presentation to specific industry segments
  • Meet and/or exceed sales targets (Monthly, Annually)
  • Recommend, select and locate appropriate products, based on specific customer needs
  • Process sales orders efficiently and accurately
  • Provide exceptional service and support during and after the sale
  • Work with Product Development team to assist in selling/implementing various solutions
  • Answer questions regarding Global Payments products and services
  • Acquire knowledge of the industry competition and their pricing strategies, and implement accurate merchant agreements & pricing models
  • Provide product knowledge regarding various integrated solutions compatible with Global Payments where necessary
  • Acquire all information needed to complete the sale (financial statements, banking information, statement of account from existing provider, etc.)
  • Enter leads & opportunities and track/update prospects in Salesforce
  • Liaise/follow up with Credit Department and other divisions of Global Payments (internal & external) to facilitate completion of merchant agreement
  • Set up onsite visits upon merchant request (also in cases of failed EID)

What we're looking for:

  • Post secondary diploma in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or other relevant field
  • Bilingual in French and English will be considered a strong asset
  • Minimum of one year of experience in telemarketing, B2B sales or similar role
  • Outstanding outbound phone sales skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with proven ability to speak with high level executives
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills is a must
  • Ability to understand and implement complex pricing strategies
  • Strong relationship and consultative sales approach required
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and challenging environment
  • Dynamic, flexible and comfortable in adapting to quick changes
  • Must be a highly organized, focused individual who excels in relationship selling, which is critical to the success of this position
  • Professional, selfstarter and highly motivated
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Previous experience in the payment processing industry is valued
  • Existing business contacts / portfolio is a strong asset
