Aldaview Services is organized to provide facilitation and support for persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Our services and activities are geared to promote community involvement and participation at the level desired by the individual.
We seek to promote daily involvement within the community, including opportunities for physical and emotional wellness, social and spiritual growth, and leisure and recreational activities.
About the Position:
The Primary Direct Support provides leadership to a team of Direct support professionals, overseeing the caseload for clients participating in a specific program area and reports to the program Manager.
Wage:
$26.24 to $29.95 Hourly

Qualifications:
- Post
- secondary degree/or a two
- year diploma program, preferably in the Social Services field, with a preference to DSW, or enrolled in a related college or university program.
- Minimum of two years' related experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in a residential and community setting
- CPR, First Aid, NVCI
- Must have an 'G' class license
- Experience supporting individuals with Dual Diagnosis, Mental Health & Addictions would be an asset.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience providing leadership to a staff team and demonstrated working knowledge of individuals with diverse physical and mental health needs in a residential or community setting
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate respectfully, openly and honestly.
- Ability to advocate for others
- A creative problem solver
- Ability to provide strong leadership to a team and promote a positive work environment
