We are currently looking for a bilingual consultant
Administrator - LAN WAN for our client, who is one of Canada's largest electrical distributors, located on the island of Montreal in Saint-Léonard, QC.


Hybrid position

  • Excellent knowledge of networks LAN, WAN & security tools.
  • Reliable, rigorous, and good team player.
  • Good comprehension, analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in French and English, both spoken and written.

Challenges waiting for you:

  • Ensure the performance, stability, and security of diverse computer systems by rigorously carrying out the required actions according to the established frequency.
  • Process level 3 escalations from the service desk
  • Draft or revise processes, operating procedures, and system configurations to ensure they are complete and effective.
  • Complete upgrading projects on a timely basis, while ensuring the cooperation of various internal and external collaborators.
  • Rigorously process level 3 user support requests; provide solutions to adequately resolve the problem at hand; document requests and transfer knowledge to the support team when required.
  • Stay up to date with technological knowledge and provide appropriate recommendations based on the best industry practices.

Here are some of the systems used:Cloud Microsoft 365, Azure and Intune, Zoho Site 24x7, Epicor, Workday, EDI, Moneris, Service Desk Plus, LogmeIn Rescue, Telus Business Connect and Contact Center.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as the escalation point for the helpdesk agents.
  • Support the Azure environment.
  • Manage the company's servers (Hyper-V, VMware), troubleshooting physical equipment.
  • Create and maintain GPO / InTune policy, Powershell and batch scripts.
  • Troubleshoot root cause workstation and networking issues.
  • Manage the backup solutions (CommVault, Azure).
  • Draft various technical procedures and solutions for the helpdesk.
  • Keep the ticket system updated (problems, solutions, etc.)
  • Any other related tasks.

Requirements:

  • AEC, DEC or bachelor's degree in computer science or similar relevant experience
  • 3 years of experience in a similar position, or 7+ years of experience in an IT infrastructure team
  • Full bilingualism, English and French (written and spoken).
  • Have an excellent knowledge of LAN/WAN environments.
  • Offer excellent customer service with a positive, customerfirst attitude.
  • Autonomy, rigor, sense of responsibility, ease of communication, ease of learning, patience, and the ability to work under pressure are desirable qualities.
  • Capacity for critical thinking, research and indepth troubleshooting is required.
  • Flexibility with task priority changes.
