Position Summary:
Acuren is currently recruiting for a Visual Inspector - CWB|CSA W178.2 for work in the Fort McMurray area. If you are seeking a dynamic industrial environment with opportunities for individual growth and learning, this is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Observes work in progress to assure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship
  • Inspection of process piping, power piping and structures from material verification stage to final commissioning and installation
  • Utilizes applicable procedures, codes, and standards to evaluate test and inspection reports, recommending acceptable or rejection/or rejection
  • Experience reviewing Work Scope Packages
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Requirements:

  • Required to have a CWB 2. QC experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.1, VIII.Div.1, IX,II, CSA W47.1 and W59.3 codes is an asset
  • Knowledge of NDT methods (xray/radiographic, magparticle, liquid penetrant, etc.,) is an asset
  • Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
