The Royal Alberta Museum is seeking an individual with expertise in handling museum collections to assist in collections care. The museum has diverse collections in both human history and natural history. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Preparing specialized boxes and supports for objects and specimens and ensuring accessioned objects and specimens are properly stored in appropriate locations and collection spaces. Helping to move accessioned objects and specimens from workrooms and labs to appropriate locations in collection spaces. Helping to decompress and rationalize object and specimen storage in collection spaces. Assisting with relocating collection objects and specimens between the museum and off-site locations. Ensuring object and specimen records are complete and up to date, including tracking and updating locations in the museum's collections databases, mainly The Museum System (TMS). Assisting Collections Services staff with the inventorying of oversize specimens and objects in off-site locations, creating relevant records, and compiling item-specific data.
