VCA Canada Guardian Veterinary Centre is on the lookout for a dedicated full-time Technician Assistant to become a vital part of our enthusiastic and skilled team of pet health professionals.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong belief in the potential of exceptional veterinary care and patient support, along with the necessary skills and knowledge to bring this vision to life.
In this role, you will assist our Veterinarians and Technicians by fostering a welcoming and stress-free environment for both clients and their pets. Previous veterinary experience or certification is advantageous for this position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Outstanding client service abilities that cultivate trust and loyalty
  • A compassionate and nurturing demeanor towards clients and their pets
  • Capability to maintain composure and efficiency in high-pressure situations
  • Proactive approach in executing tasks independently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Veterinarians and Technologists with various procedures and treatments for animal patients
  • Delivering compassionate care, including feeding and exercising patients
  • Performing general facility upkeep, including cleaning animal enclosures
  • Handling and restraining patients as needed
  • Supporting diagnostic imaging efforts
  • Collaborating closely with the Specialty team to enhance patient care in the Surgical Department
