Epicure is looking a Distribution Supervisor Reporting to the Direct of Operations, the Distribution Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of the distribution center. This role involves providing guidance, support, and leadership to ensure the efficient operation of the DC.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and provide direction to the entire DC Team, ensuring they effectively execute their responsibilities and meet performance targets.
  • Collaborate with other departments and leadership to establish priorities, set targets, and implement operational requirements to meet Epicures goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of Team Leads and DC Team Members, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support to optimize team performance and productivity.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the distribution center, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the implementation and utilization of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) within the DC, providing support and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
  • Conduct regular audits of picking and packing processes to ensure accuracy, compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage scheduling and role rotations for Team Leads in a fair and efficient manner, ensuring adequate coverage and optimal utilization of resources.
  • Support recruitment efforts for the DC, including participation in interviews and onboarding of new hires, as well as ongoing training and development initiatives.
  • Identify and implement SOPs for training and equipment operation, ensuring consistency and compliance across the team.
  • Monitor equipment readiness and ensure all picking equipment and pack stations are operational and adequately stocked at the start of each shift.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost savings, driving initiatives to enhance productivity and operational excellence.
  • Champion 5S and Safety initiatives within the DC, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Monitor daily DC meetings to identify risks, issues, and performance trends, reporting findings to the Director of Operations and collaborating on solutions.
  • Monitor and meticulously track incoming orders with precision and attention to detail.
  • Member of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHS)
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a distribution center or similar environment, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant computer systems and software.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead, motivate, and coach a diverse team.
  • Detailoriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, quality, and compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, KPIdriven environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including standing, sitting, stopping, lifting heavy weights, and performing repetitive tasks as required.
  • First Aid Level 1 Certification is required, Level 2 is considered an asset.
