A career with the National Bank's National Client Group means assisting primarily large private companies with their complex financing needs, the majority of which are between **$25** and **$400 million**.

As a **Director** in the **National Client Group** based in **Quebec City**, you will be responsible for growing the portfolio of business clients assigned to you.

The varied and challenging tasks will enable you to become a key advisor in all your clients' financial projects, such as company acquisitions, project financing, or recapitalization.


Your role:
- Identify and cultivate business opportunities in your market
- Expand your commercial client base and devise business development strategies
- Assist clients in achieving their business goals by suggesting appropriate **Bank** products and services
- Manage relationships with sophisticated clients with financing needs between **$25 million and $400 million**
- Adapt and optimize financial products and sales approaches to meet clients' evolving needs
- Negotiate agreements with clients ensuring they align with risk management standards and profitability criteria
- Develop sales and business growth plans
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver comprehensive solutions
- Lead and mentor less experienced team members

Participate actively in networking events such as cocktail hours, conferences, and fundraisers
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with Commercial Banking sector activities

Your Team:
The **National Client Group (NCG)** comprises approximately **20** finance professionals and operates in a competitive and dynamic environment.
You will report to the **General Manager and Head Eastern Quebec - National Client Group**
**National Bank** offers **training programs** that leverage on-the-job learning to enhance your expertise. You will have access to tailored training materials covering banking solutions and advisory techniques to support your continuous development.
You will work alongside colleagues with diverse expertise, backgrounds, and experience, enriching your growth in all facets.

Prerequisites:
As per your educational background, a minimum of **8 years** in sales and business development within the financial sector is required:

- **Bachelor's degree** with **10 years** of experience or **Master's degree** with **8 years** of experience
- Proficiency in syndication processes is advantageous
- Expertise in financial analysis, business evaluation, and risk comprehension
- Extensive knowledge in commercial credit, mergers, and acquisitions
- Sales and business development acumen
- Established network of professional contacts within local enterprises
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
