The Role:

We are seeking a Part-Time Seamstress to join our studio in Coquitlam, BC.

Reporting directly to the Designer of OUMA, the Part-time Seamstress will be responsible for producing premium alterations on all OUMA Collection styles and Custom Designs.

This is a part-time role with the opportunity to become a permanent, full-time role.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional hand sewing.
• Excellent knowledge and previous experience working on evening dresses or delicate fabrics including but not limited to: chiffon, lace, and/or tulle.
• Excellent knowledge and previous experience working on delicate laces and beadings.
• Excellent knowledge and previous experience working on rolled hems, french seams, and blind stitches.
• Proven efficiency in reading patterns.
• Previous experience with hand sewing is considered an asset.
• Previous experience with cutting is considered an asset.
• Strong communication, problemsolving and interpersonal skills.
• Proven selfstarter who enjoys building collaborative partnerships.
• Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, always changing environment.
• Ability to provide and use their own tools.

The Part-Time Seamstress may be required to work at other studio locations when required by the Designer or Studio Coordinator.
