**The Role**:
We are seeking a Part-Time Seamstress to join our studio in Coquitlam, BC. Reporting directly to the Designer of OUMA, the Part-time Seamstress will be responsible for producing premium alterations on all OUMA Collection styles and Custom Designs. This is a part-time role with the opportunity to become a permanent, full-time role.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional hand sewing.
- Excellent knowledge and previous experience working on evening dresses or delicate fabrics including but not limited to: chiffon, lace, and/or tulle.
- Excellent knowledge and previous experience working on delicate laces and beadings.
- Excellent knowledge and previous experience working on rolled hems, french seams, and blind stitches.
- Proven efficiency in reading patterns.
- Previous experience with hand sewing is considered an asset.
- Previous experience with cutting is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Proven self-starter who enjoys building collaborative partnerships.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, always changing environment.
- Ability to provide and use their own tools.

This is a general description of the tasks and skills required. Additional responsibilities may be required to successfully perform this position. The Part-Time Seamstress may be required to work at other studio locations when required by the Designer or Studio Coordinator.
