Pay Range (Per Visit): $86 - $96

VHA's Occupational Therapy division offers consultation, assessment, and interventions for diverse client groups. As an Occupational Therapist with VHA, you will assess and provide recommendations and interventions to a varied group of pediatric clients at their homes or schools, adhering to evidence-based best practices. You will ensure coordinated care delivery by maintaining constant communication with the client care team, solving issues collaboratively to enhance independence, and uphold VHA's core beliefs and values.


Key Areas of Accountability

  • Assess and implement occupational therapy interventions following professional guidelines and VHA's standards.
  • Deliver client interventions based on assessments, client input, and integrated care plans.
  • Ensure services are evidence-based and assessed through reliable outcome measures.
  • Coordinate care delivery by communicating effectively with all team members regarding intervention plans.
  • Document assessment findings, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries as required.
  • Enhance safe client care through continuous skill and knowledge development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
  • Active member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Valid Driver's License with access to a vehicle.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in caseload management and electronic documentation.
  • Able to provide virtual care.
  • Possessing a registered ADP authorizer status is advantageous.
