Position Summary:

The Temporary short term TEAM LEADER provides primary supervision to front line staff.

Care plans for those with more complex needs, coordination of assessments, reporting, person-centered planning, and plan implementation and support Accreditation process.

This role acts in a liaison capacity between the Program Manager and the staff and guests.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Model and help others develop healthy relationships and positive interactions.
  • Motivate staff and coworkers in their professional growth.
  • Oversee staff assisting individuals to complete daily tasks, while encouraging independence and positive choices.
  • Encourage person served to pursue healthy living, fitness, recreational activities, and positive behaviors.
  • Assist individuals to achieve their full potential in school, social, community, and residential environments through the development of personcentered support plans.
  • Provide professional and timely communication to caseworkers, oncall workers, crisis unit, and the director.
  • Mentor and lead your team by displaying a positive attitude and the ability to motivate others
  • Supervise the implementation of organizational and programbased goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in the development of organizational and program goals (in accordance with the strategic plan).
  • Participate in the development of care plans and therapeutic interventions with youth.
  • Review and address concerns arising from guests and/or employees in accordance with the grievance procedure.
  • Ensure orientation of new staff members, training, and ongoing learning of staff members.
  • Serve as supervisor to the Aboriginal Resource Person and Youth Care Workers.
  • Ensure that frontline staff are completing reports in accordance with reporting expectations.
  • Providing afterhours and oncall coverage as part of the service plan and the work alone policy.
  • Includes fulfilling frontline staff roles and responsibilities in conjunction with Supervisory roles and responsibilities.
  • Act as a liaison between the Program Manger, Staff and guests.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Demonstrate skill in supporting individuals with low functioning, and those you supervise
  • Diploma or degree in Human Services
  • Interest in personal and organizational quality improvement efforts to improve services this may include taking specialized training
  • Demonstrate supervisory, communication and organizational ability
  • Coaching, empowering, and motivating
  • Credibility, reliability, and the ability to work flexible hours
  • Must be willing to enter confidentiality agreement and maintain confidentiality

Salary:
$24.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
