The Collateral Securities Specialist provides strong knowledge and support to the preparation, registration, and maintenance of collateral securities and servicing Canadian Western Bank's Equipment Financing Group (EFG) loan portfolio.

Chip in and support the Manager, Collateral Securities to drive a high level of quality and standards, risk management, and strong data integrity.


What you be responsible for:

  • Delivering premier service that will ensure the accurate, timely and thorough processing of Equipment Financing documentation, funding, reporting and packaging. No two days will be the same
  • Supporting the progress of continuous improvement of all Credit Support processes specific to the preparation, registration, and maintenance of collateral securities, loan processing and funding. Your contributions as a driven team member will be the keys to your success.
  • Functioning as the check and balance. Asking the right questions does this align with policy? How does this affect and interact with procedure?
  • Using your administrative expertise and testing your accuracy by processing entries for new and existing commercial, equipment loans while handling document control and reporting.
  • Key areas of responsibilities such as:
  • Documentation preparation
  • Maintain collateral files and record management
  • Insurance and taxes
  • Maintain security schedule
  • Searches corporation and collateral
  • Registration and renewal of security

Who you have accomplished:

Education:

  • A diploma holder in Business Administration or a related field (or related experience).

Professional:

  • Minimum of 35 years credit support experience with strong knowledge of collateral securities.
  • Knowledge of commercial and equipment lending, loan administration and credit processes.
  • Experience in risk assessments, business banking and credit processes, including loan administration, collateral securities and credit processes including more complex commercial loans.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, regulations, documentation, compliance issues, collateral securities and audit requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of the Banking System, Loan Origination Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Forms.
